Check Moore County VINELink

A Moore County VINELink release check follows one named custody record and can send notice when the supplying agency reports a change. To check a Moore County inmate on VINELink, compare the person's name or ID, reporting agency, location, and displayed status before registering. Tennessee VINE covers state corrections records and data from participating local agencies. It does not replace a certified jail release record, a court order, or a state sentence record. Coverage must be confirmed on the matched record, especially for Moore County Jail. Federal and immigration custody use separate systems, so one VINE result cannot settle every possible hold or transfer.

Moore County VINELink Release Fields

Available fields depend on the participating agency. Read each label without expanding its meaning. Custody status describes the supplying record. Location identifies the agency or facility tied to that record. An event date may concern release, transfer, or another change. VINELink is not the authoritative court file or sentence computation.

FieldWhat it can establish
Name and offender IDKeys used to distinguish the selected person
Reporting agencyThe jail or corrections body that supplied the status
Custody statusThe agency's current displayed relationship with the person
LocationThe listed facility or agency, when provided
Event informationA reported custody change and its displayed date or time
Notification optionsChannels available for that eligible record

A released result should be written with its source: released from Moore County Jail, released from TDOC, or transferred from one custodian. It should not be shortened to “free” or “all custody ended.” A county release record can state the release reason and receiving agency. FOIL can show the TDOC status and sentence fields. The court docket explains the legal order.

Note: Preserve the exact status text and source agency because a later transfer can make a once-correct alert easy to misread.

Register Moore County Release Alerts

Registration attaches to a particular eligible offender record. Tennessee SAVIN identifies phone, email, TTY, text, web, and mobile channels. Not every channel or event will appear on every record. Enroll only after the reporting agency and identity match.

  1. Open the correct person record and choose Register for Notifications.
  2. Select the offered phone, text, email, or app route.
  3. Enter the contact destination carefully and choose available custody events.
  4. For phone registration, create or retain the four-digit PIN. Never share or publish it.
  5. For email or text, complete the verification link or code shown by the service.
  6. Save the confirmation and update registration if contact information changes.

On a telephone alert, entering the PIN acknowledges the notice and protects enrollment management. Email registration does not use the telephone PIN. Tennessee VINE support is available around the clock at (888) 868-4631, with TTY support at (866) 847-1298. Support can address enrollment, but only the reporting agency can certify the underlying custody event.

Confirm Moore County VINE Alerts

VINE warns users not to rely on notification alone. Agency data can lag. A message may arrive after the physical event, and a reported release may be a transfer. An expected notice may also fail because the record was not eligible, the contact method changed, or the supplying agency did not send the expected event.

Important: Confirm a Moore County jail alert with the jail release event. Confirm a TDOC alert with FOIL or TDOC records. VINE is not a sentence calculator.

For a local event, ask Moore County Jail whether the booking closed by community release or transfer and request the release reason, time, authority, and receiving agency if recorded. For state custody, FOIL can show Supervision Status, Assigned Location, Sentence End Date, Release Eligibility Date, and Parole Hearing Result. Read those fields together.

VINELink does not replace the BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System. A federal prisoner must be checked through BOP. A possible immigration transfer must be checked through ICE. The Tennessee VINE result also does not clear another warrant, court hold, or detainer.

Moore County Victim Notification Layer

Moore County's distinctive notification issue is that Tennessee has a strong statewide VINE service, while no local government page expressly confirms Moore County Jail's current feed. The exact matched record must identify the local reporting agency before a result is called a Moore County jail alert. This keeps statewide TDOC coverage from being mistaken for universal county coverage.

TBI's SAMS Track directory also lists the Moore County Sheriff's Department as a victim-services contact at the Elm Street location. It is a contact layer, not a person-level release archive. The county's current public phone, (931) 759-6464, is the first jail call. An older SAMS directory number should not displace it.

After a named alert, preserve the name or ID searched, source agency, check time, exact status, and event date. Then ask the source agency to confirm whether the event was community release, transfer, or another custody change.

Moore County Registry Differences

The TBI Sex Offender Registry and Drug Offender Registry are separate offense-based systems. They are not general release lists. A qualifying person may appear because state law creates a registration duty, not because a recent Moore County discharge occurred.

The TBI Sex Offender Registry can show a photo, offender ID, primary address, status, classification, and offenses. TBI says registering agencies provide the data and the system updates daily. Presence can confirm a displayed registration relationship as of the access time. It does not prove when county or state custody ended.

The official registry search is shown below as a distinct state channel.

When Moore County VINE Says Released

A released status or alert has a narrow meaning: the agency that supplied the matched record reported a custody event. The notice may establish that Moore County Jail no longer held the person, or that TDOC reported a state custody change. It does not rule out a transfer, detainer, separate charge, supervision term, federal custody, or immigration custody.

Ask Moore County Jail for the named booking's release screen when the reporting agency is local. Useful existing fields include admission date and time, release date and time, release reason, releasing authority, and destination or receiving agency. If the event was a transfer, follow the receiving custodian. A court docket can explain bond, dismissal, sentence, or probation, but it may not show the physical walk-out time.

For a TDOC result, use FOIL to compare Supervision Status, Assigned Location, Sentence End Date, Release Eligibility Date, and Parole Hearing Result. Parole or probation indicates community supervision, not the end of the sentence. Inactive may reflect a closed state relationship, but the detailed record and TDOC should resolve the reason.

Missing Moore County Release Alerts

An expected alert may not arrive. The record might not have been eligible, the local agency may not participate, the event may not yet have been sent, or a contact route may not have been verified. A name mismatch can also hide the correct record. None of those outcomes proves that the person stayed in custody.

Return to the saved enrollment confirmation. Verify the phone number, email, or text route, and use VINE support for account issues. Search the person again with the offender ID if known. Then contact the reporting agency. For Moore County Jail, ask whether the booking remains open and whether it closed by release or transfer. For TDOC, compare FOIL and request the relevant state record when needed.

Past events need records, not only alerts. Request the local booking and release sheet for a Moore County jail event. For older state history, TDOC's archived record process can supply existing documents subject to retention and exemptions. A VINE registration is best used to watch a future eligible change.

Note: Keep enrollment active until the source agency confirms the custody event, and never publish the confidential four-digit telephone PIN.
