Verify Moore County Supervision

Moore County parole and probation records answer whether a person who is out of jail or prison remains under state supervision. To verify Moore County post-release supervision, first separate a parole decision from a probation sentence, then read the state offender record exactly as displayed. Tennessee agencies divide these duties. The parole board makes parole decisions, while the corrections department supervises people in the community. A release from physical custody may therefore begin a new phase of legal control rather than end the sentence. Clear source labels help distinguish active supervision, a closed state record, and an unverified claim.

Moore County Parole Versus Probation

Parole and probation can both place a released Moore County person under rules in the community, but they arise in different ways. Parole is conditional release from a prison sentence. The Tennessee Board of Parole decides whether parole will be granted, and the Tennessee Department of Correction, or TDOC, handles field supervision. Probation is imposed by a court and may follow a jail term or replace further confinement. FOIL, Tennessee's Felony Offender Information Lookup, may show either status for a qualifying felony offender.

The distinction controls which record answers a question. A Board result may explain a parole decision. A judgment or probation order explains court-ordered probation. FOIL can identify the current state relationship and Assigned Location. None of these records alone proves the exact time that someone walked out of Moore County Jail or a TDOC institution.

Verify Moore County Post-Release Supervision

The official online starting point is TDOC FOIL. It covers current and former felony offenders in TDOC custody or supervision. Search by TDOC or TOMIS number when possible. A number reduces confusion between people with similar names. The direct application also offers Search By Name and Search By State ID routes. The name tab uses last name, first name, race, an alias option, and a CAPTCHA.

Open the detail record after comparing identity data. Under Current Status, FOIL can show Supervision Status, Assigned Location, Combined Sentence(s) Length, Supervision/Custody Level, Sentence Begin Date, Sentence End Date, Release Eligibility Date, Parole Hearing Date, and Parole Hearing Result. Copy the labels and values as shown. Do not turn "inactive" into a claim that every obligation ended without checking the sentence fields and agency record.

  1. Choose the TDOC ID or State ID search when an identifier is known. Otherwise search the legal name and reasonable aliases.
  2. Compare the returned identity data before opening a record. Do not select a person solely because the name matches.
  3. Record Supervision Status and Assigned Location exactly. Parole and probation both mean the person may be physically out while still supervised.
  4. Read Sentence End Date and Parole Hearing Result with the current status. A hearing result and a physical release are separate events.
  5. Call the assigned TDOC office when the displayed record is unclear, recently changed, or conflicts with the court order.
Important: A FOIL result is a state felony record. It is not a complete history of short Moore County jail stays or misdemeanor probation.

For a local jail release with no TDOC relationship, obtain the Moore County judgment or probation order and the jail release event. The broader Moore County released inmate search explains how those local records work together.

Note: Save the access date, exact status, Assigned Location, and identifier so later changes can be compared without guesswork.

Moore County Supervision District 50

Moore County is geographically served by TDOC Community Supervision District 50. The Tullahoma office also serves Coffee, Franklin, and Lincoln Counties. This county assignment is a practical starting point, not proof that a named person reports there. Check FOIL's Assigned Location first because a case can be handled at another office.

Phone: (931) 454-1915
Fax: (931) 454-1917

Use the TDOC field office directory to verify the current listing. When calling, provide the correct name and TDOC number if known. Ask which office is assigned and which public record can confirm the displayed supervision status. Staff may limit details that are not public or that raise safety concerns.

Moore County has no verified county-run parole office because parole is a state function. The sheriff can address a county jail release record, but the sheriff does not decide state parole or set TDOC reporting terms.

Moore County Violations and Warrants

Supervision conditions vary by the order, release certificate, sentence, and assigned status. A parole condition comes from the state parole process. A probation condition comes from the sentencing court. Common high-level duties can include reporting, following instructions, remaining at an approved location, and complying with the law, but a person's actual written terms control.

No official statewide public absconder list and no Moore County sheriff absconder page were verified. That absence matters. A missing FOIL result, an inactive label, or an old report does not prove an active warrant. Parole revocation and probation revocation also follow different paths. The Board controls parole revocation matters, while the sentencing court is central to a probation revocation or warrant.

Verify an alleged warrant with the issuing authority. An absconder label means an agency alleges that the person failed to remain in contact or comply. It should not be presented as a new offense or final court finding. VINELink may report a custody change, but it does not decide whether a supervision allegation is valid.

How Moore County Supervision Ends

A person is not off supervision merely because physical custody ended. Parole can continue until discharge or the governing sentence end. Probation continues until the court term ends or the court enters another order. FOIL may eventually show an inactive relationship, but the exact sentence dates, status, and agency record should be read together.

For formal proof, request an existing discharge, sentence-completion, release authorization, or related order from the agency that created it. TDOC institutional records uses a Release Checklist identified as CR-3835 and a Release Authorization identified as CR-1947 for state release processing. Those forms concern release from state custody. They do not replace a later community-supervision discharge record.

A court docket may show probation completion, revocation, or a changed sentence. The Board and TDOC records address parole and state supervision. Keep each event separate: eligibility, hearing, decision, release-plan approval, prison release, community reporting, and final discharge can occur on different dates.

Note: “Released to parole” means prison custody ended under conditions; it does not mean the sentence and all state supervision ended.

Moore County Parole Hearing Path

Parole eligibility, a hearing date, a favorable result, and release are not the same event. The Tennessee Board of Parole publishes state-prison and county-jail schedule pages. Schedules can list a facility group, TDOC ID, name, hearing type, and date. They can change. Weekly schedules may also be requested at BD.HearingSchedules@tn.gov and checked by phone at (615) 741-1150.

The verified person-level public result is FOIL's Parole Hearing Result. Hearing officers make recommendations, and Board members may adopt, change, or reject them. Board Operations processes the final disposition. An approved proposed release plan must also precede parole release. Even a grant does not establish that institutional processing is complete.

The Board's parole-hearing page shows the official process and schedule route.

Who Handles Moore County Parole?

Moore County does not operate Tennessee's state parole function. This division of work is the county's distinctive supervision fact. The Tennessee Board of Parole decides parole. TDOC Community Supervision handles field contact after release. FOIL may display the parole or probation status and assigned office.

Route questions to the office that owns the event. Ask the Board about its decision record. Ask TDOC about an assigned supervision status. Ask the court about probation orders. Ask Moore County Jail about the local physical release event. Blending those sources can make a person seem fully discharged when only one custody stage ended.

Moore County Reentry Support

TDOC Community Resource Centers serve people under supervision and people released after sentence expiration. No Moore-only reentry office was verified. District 50 is therefore the practical navigation and confirmation starting point for a Moore County person with a state supervision record.

The TDOC Community Resource Center program can help identify state services, but program access should not be inferred from a FOIL label alone. Confirm eligibility and the right location with TDOC. A resource center provides support; it does not issue a parole decision or certify that supervision ended.

Moore County Supervision Record Trail

A careful supervision check preserves the person searched, TDOC or State ID, source agency, access date, exact Current Status labels, Assigned Location, and any Parole Hearing Result. If the search returns no match, record “no result” rather than “not supervised.” Name spelling, record coverage, or a missing identifier may explain the outcome.

When records conflict, place them in event order. The judgment establishes the sentence. FOIL describes the TDOC relationship. A Board record addresses parole action. A jail or institution release event establishes the physical custody change. The assigned field office confirms where state supervision is administered. A later discharge record establishes the end of that relationship.

Determinate release and mandatory reentry supervision should retain their own names. TDOC describes determinate release probation for qualifying felony terms through the statutory process. Mandatory reentry supervision can place an eligible person in the community near the end of a covered sentence. Neither status should be shortened to parole when FOIL or the release record uses another label.
